Co-working makes for creative workplaces
Working remotely is becoming more common, but working from home is far from suitable for everyone. For many, the solution is co-working and sharing space with others.
“Everyone from lawyers and car dealers to web designers and photographers share our co-work office in Skövde! There are people who run companies abroad and others whose jobs are in different towns as they’ve moved to Skaraborg for various reasons. It’s a glorious mixture! The truly magical meetings usually occur between people from different industries,” says Tindra Törnqvist, service and operations manager at Bahnhof in Skövde.
The truly magical meetings usually occur between people from different industries.
Bahnhof runs two co-worker venues in Skaraborg, one in Skövde and one in Lidköping. They provide an opportunity for people to rent workspace while also being part of a social setting, something many who only work from home miss dearly.
What it means to rent space in a co-working venue or office hotel may vary. There are usually different options to choose from, like your own office or only access to an open workspace. The service included also varies, as does the availability of areas such as conference facilities.
There are several different co-working venues in Skaraborg, and prices and the service included both differ.
“At Bahnhof, we charge from SEK 3,000 per month for access to our open co-working landscape. This also means access to our events, working weeks and breakfasts, which form an important part of the social aspect of co-working,” says Tindra.
The people who work here treat each other as colleagues, even though they belong to utterly different industries. The differences make for a gloriously creative environment!
Today, Bahnhof in Skövde has a mix of self-employed, small business owners and people who work for companies based in other locations. In cases where a company employee rents space, Tindra tells us that their employer usually covers all or part of the cost. There being a variety of industries represented in one and the same office space is seen only as an advantage.
